Smart Business Network’s Family Business Achievement Awards recognize family and closely-held businesses that best demonstrate innovative business practices that enhance the business dynamic. Conveyer & Caster – Equipment for Industry was selected as one of this year’s honorees. Conveyer & Caster was selected because of our early adoption of an external advisory board, family-member outside work requirements, and clear family succession plans.
The awards were presented during the Smart Business Network 2016 Family Business Conference held at Signature of Solon. Trevor Stohr, President of Conveyer & Caster, was in attendance to receive the award. In accepting, he said, “It’s an honor to our family to be recognized like this. I’m hopeful that as we grow our business future generations of our family will feel welcomed and challenged by joining the business. We’ve been fortunate to also have a wonderful team that has made this possible. Without their hard work, dedication, and commitment, we wouldn’t be standing here today.”
During the conference, two panels presented. First, several experts in the field of family business ownership provided advice on how to plan for succession, growth, and unexpected events. Followed by a panel of family business owners that have stewarded their companies successfully through ownership changes.
Conveyer & Caster – Equipment for Industry and the Stohr family were touched and honored to be recognized in this way. We’re very happy with our 55 years of success and look forward to many, many more.
